Synthesis of core-shell ZIF-8@In2O3 nanorods and enhancement of selectivity to NO2

Abstract:In order to quickly and accurately detect NO2 as a harmful gas,a hydrothermal method for synthesizing zeolitic imidazolate frameworks-8 material composite In2O3 nanorods (ZIF-8@In2O3)and preparing the gas sensor was reported.The morphology and structure of ZIF-8@In2O3 were characterized by scanning electron microscope,transmission electron microscope and specific surface analysis,and the gas-sensing performance of these materials were tested.The results show that ZIF-8@In2O3 nanorods with core-shell structure have been successfully synthesized.At the optimum operating temperature of 220 ℃,compared with 223 of the sensitivity of pure In2O3 to 5×10-5 of NO2,the sensitivity of ZIF-8@In2O3 reaches 254.Under the condition of triethylamine (TEA) as the interference gas,the selectivity of 5.81 of ZIF-8@In2O3 is greatly improved than 3.69 of pure In2O3,and it also has good moisture resistance.
