Research progress of cyclone separator with downward exhaust gas in circulating fluidized bed boiler

Abstract:The cyclone separator with downward exhaust gas is commonly used in circulating fluidized bed boilers to perform gas-solid separation and particle recovery.This study introduced the structure and working principle of the cyclone separator with downward exhaust gas.The problems existing in the operation of the circulating fluidized bed boiler,such as high carbon content of flue gas fly ash,unstable combustion,high requirements for flue gas dust removal,and poor adaptability to coal quality were summarized.The improvement measures of several structures such as the bottom cone slope,fluid guide and exhaust pipe of the separator and the gas-solid separation effect were introduced.It is proposed that the optimization and improvement of the lower exhaust cyclone separator should be carried out from the aspects of structural improvement and combination application,installation and use of internal components,development of new separators and improvement of equipment service life.
