Abstract:Application prospect and existing problems of bentonite in desertification control were reviewed,from characteristics,resource distribution,soil improvement,and application in sand fixation materials.Development ideas of bentonite composite products in desertification control and ecological restoration was put forward.According to the actual efficacy,economic investment,environmental friendliness and sustainability,various bentonite composite products which are cheap,efficient,can be mass production and large-scale application were screened out.The products were applied to the desert oasis transition zone ecological restoration,artificial forest and sand industry,forest and grass degraded areas,gobi,highway and railway channel projects and other fields to comprehensively improve the ecological environment of the sandy area,and achieve the health development of bentonite composite products in desertification prevention and ecological restoration.
