Abstract:In order to improve the particle separation performance of VSCC PM2.5 particle cutter,three commonly used S-style functions of Sigmoid-8092,Logistic and Gompertz were adopted to regress experiment data and the fitting accuracies were compared,experimental method was used to study the effects on 50% cut-off diameter Da50 and geometric standard deviation σg from different structures of cutter,the cutter was improved by structures coordination method and an experiment verification was done.The results show that the fitting accuracy is higher of Sigmoid-8092 compared with the other two kinds of functions,as its linear regression fitting degree R2≥0.991.The improved cutter changes the Da50 from 2.32~2.52 μm of VSCC to 2.52~2.57 μm,and the σg is reduced from 1.15~1.30 to 1.15~1.25.Sigmoid-8092 function is suitable as the fitting function for penetration curve.Signal structure parameter can hardly optimize σg while not changing Da50,and the coordination between inlet diameter Din and cone bottom diameter B can realize the purpose of penetration performance improvement.Increasing the circle round Reynolds number Reann is beneficial to the improvement of σg,and the effective way to increase Reann is reducing the value of Din.The equivalent Reynolds number method can be used to determine Din dimension.
