Effect of Ga2O3 and K2O content on morphology and structure of bismuth glass powder

Abstract:Bi2O3-B2O3-SiO2-ZnO-Al2O3-Ga2O3-K2O glass powder was fabricated by high-temperature melting and water quenching.Changing the content of Ga2O3 and K2O in glass powder,the morphology and structure of glass powder were studied.The morphology and composition of glass powder were studied by XRD,SEM,and XPS.The effect of Ga2O3 and K2O content on the network structure of glass powder was analyzed by FTIR and Raman.The results show that Ga2O3 and K2O are involved in forming the network structure of glass powder.K2O can promote the transformation of [BO3] triangle into [BO4] tetrahedron,and the transformation of [BiO3] tetrahedron into [BiO6] octahedron.Ga2O3 plays the role of network modifier in the glass powder network,structure and has good co-melting with other oxides in the glass powder.
