Abstract: The platinum nanoparticles with diameter less than 10 nm loaded on carbon nanotubes were used as the research object. The micro morphology was characterized by thermal field emission scanning electron microscope The effects of different detectors and accelerating voltage on the imaging effect of the samples were discussed. The results show that for the same detector, the surface details of samples can be obtained clearly under the condition of low accelerating voltage. When the accelerating voltage is 1 kV, the platinum nanoparticles loaded on the surface of carbon nanotubes can not be observed by using SE2 and InLens detectors, while the distribution of platinum nanoparticles with the diameter of 3~10 nm can be clearly observed by using ESB detector.
