Study on wet method for collecting PM2.5 particles in atmosphere

Abstract: This paper studies a new wet method for collecting PM2.5 particles in the air with water or droplets. Based on direct water washing method and atomized water washing method, wet collect device was designed and produced. The obtained PM2.5 sample solution was tested by dynamic light scattering technique to get the average photon number of the sample and the PM2.5 particle size to characterize the feasibility and reliability of the wet method. The experimental results show that the measured particle size ranges from 200 to 400 nm, the average photon number increases with the increase of experimental time. The wet method is feasible and reliable. Compared with the direct water washing method, the atomized water washing method can significantly improve the efficiency of wet method.
