Experimental study on fluidized gasification and modification of pulverized coal

Abstract: Experiments were carried out on a circulating fluidized bed of 15 kg/h partial gasification test rig. The influence of fluidized conditions on modification of pulverized coalwas studied by means of a laser particle size analyzer, a specific surface area and a porosity analyzer, an X-ray diffraction (XRD) and an X-ray fluorescence spectrometer (XRF). A stable fluidization process can be maintained when the oxygen coal mass ratio is 0.31. The particle size of char decreases. The specific surface area, total pore volume and basic components increase, the characteristic temperatures of ash melting decrease.
