Abstract: In order to improve the quality of centrifugal granulation products of blast furnace slag, the cold state experiment visualization research of blast furnace granulated centrifugal granulation was carried out for the problem of large size distribution of granulated blast furnace granules and easy generation of slag wool. The experimental results show that the serrated edge structure and the edge surface reinforced granulator can ensure the relative stability of the liquid film splitting mode during the granulation process. The granulated droplet size is small and uniform, compared with the ordinary flat plate. The sot average diameter can be reduced by a maximum of 0.7 mm. For a granulator with a diameter of 150 mm, the proportion of filaments can be effectively reduced when the melt temperature is greater than 130 ℃, the volume flow rate is in the range of 15~20 mL/s, and the rotation speed is in the range of 600 r/min to 800 r/min. The granulator structure has no obvious influence on it and the most direct and effective way to inhibit the filament production is to find the best granularity in the granulation process.
