Abstract: In order to analyze the source of airborne dust particles in Kaifeng city, Henan province, the paper mainly focuses on the composition spectrum of the dust source and the atmospheric particulate matter PM10 sampling. The markers of each single source in the urban dust source were extracted, and the chemical components of PM10 were analyzed. The chemical mass balance (CMB) model and the improved source apportionment technique were used to characterize. The results show that the PM10 pollution in Kaifeng city is serious, which is mainly caused by urban dust. The contribution rate of secondary particles to PM10 is 26.92%. The contribution rate of vehicle exhaust dust to PM10 is 11.29%.
