Abstract:The amino-functionalized diatomite composite samples was synthesized via water bath stiring method,in which 3-aminopropyl triethoxysilane and diethylenetriamine supplied amino functional groups. The samples were characterized by FTIR, SEM, TGA-DSC and XPS, and the adsorption of Pb(Ⅱ) and Cr(Ⅵ) were investigated. The results show that the maximum adsorption capacity of Pb (II) and Cr (VI) are 184.69 and 109.65 mg/g, respectively, with diethylenetriamine modification samples. The removal rate of Pb(Ⅱ) and Cr(Ⅵ) reach 95%, with initial concentration of 20 mg/L. The adsorption models for Pb(Ⅱ) and Cr(Ⅵ) are keeping with the langmuir adsorption model.
