Research on agglomeration characterization technology of ultrafine powder

Abstract:This paper aims to investigate the agglomeration degree of four powder materials which are currently used in practice. The experiment of powder agglomeration based on different dispersion pressure was carnied out by laser diffrac- tion and partiele size distribution test, and the characteristic index of powder agglomeration was established through the experimental study. The experimental results show that the higher the value of agglomeration characteristic indexis,the stronger the agglomeration of powderis, and the closer to 1 the value of agglomeration characteristic index, the weaker the agglomeration of powder. A particle size of about 5 um is dividing line for the agglomeration of the four powders. Particles less than 5m is easily agglomerated, and particles larger than 5m is not easy to agglomerat. The agglomeration from weak to strong of four powders is A <B<C<D,and it is consistent with the order of powder fluidity. According to the agglomeration characteristic index of the powder sample, the powder product which meets the application requirement is sSleCled perineny.Ihe index0f0nCralioncliactenisliCscOuld 0videluther referenCe 1or1he selectionafsubs quent powder aplication. The agglomeration characteristic index and characterization method were established, and the purpose of rapid, simple and accurate characterization of superfine powder agglomeration was realized.
