Abstract: In order to reducing the loss of materials during the flow and the impact on the operation of the equipment and improve the safety and economy of the activated coke flue gas purification device, through the flow experiment of activated coke in the chute, the flow characteristics of the activated coke under different inclination and surface roughness were studied. The results show that the flow velocity and flow rate of the activated coke can be effectively reduced by setting baffle at the bottom of the chute. The flow velocity can be reduced to 70% or so when there is no baffle. When the baffle is installed at the bottom of the chute, the loss caused by impact and wear of the activated coke should be considered comprehensively. The minimum use angle of the chute, which is set at the bottom of the baffle at about 45°.
