Abstract: Magnetic roasting via a fluidized bed was carried out for the high intensity magnetic pro-concentration products of the red mud from Shandong. The results show that the red mud is hard to flow in fluidized bed while the high intensity magnetic pro-concentration products have fine fluidization. The iron grade 31.07% sample magnetic roasting followed by magnetic separating can upgrade the concentrate to the iron content of 62.04% with a Fe recovery rate of 68.35%. The iron grade 42.73% sample magnetic roasting followed by magnetic separating can upgrade the concentrate to the iron content of 63.88% with a Fe recovery rate of 85.47%.
