Numerical study of movement rule of different size particles in flue gas turbine

Abstract:Based on Euler-Lagrangian model, the numerical study of gas-solid flow characteristics inside FCC flue gas turbine was presented. Using k-ε turbulence model and discrete phase model, movement rules of different size particles in the flue gas turbine were simulated. The results show that the distribution of gas flow rate and pressure in flue gas flow passage are dominant factors causing to the occurrence of collision and deposition of solid particles on the blade surface. On the pressure surface of rotor blade, particles that are larger than 5 μm of particle size are easier to collide with the surface of the blade. With increase of the particle diameter, the tendency of particles collides with the bottom of blade increasing.
