Abstract:Gas flow field of high efficient Stairmand cyclone separator was simulated through CFD method. Tangential velocity and axial velocity distribution of different section were gained. The simulation results and the experimental data matched perfectly. The numerical simulations of particle separation process of a straight single inlet cyclone separator and a double inlet one were conducted through this method. The results show that the double inlet cyclone separator improves the asymmetry of flow field compared with the single inlet. With the same air inflow quality, the tangential velocity of the double inlet cyclone separator increases, while the radial velocity decreases apparently.Above all, the particle separation efficiency is enhanced by 6% ~30%.
