Abstract:In order to figure out the problems such as mechanism of magnetorheological fluid(MRF) and reason of shear shinning,the forces on particle of MRF were analyzed, dipole model and three dimensional dynamical model of interaction were built, the chaining process, the shear process and magnetic response time were simulated, the chaining mechanism was explored, and the reason of shear thinning was opened out. Simulations show that,under shear rate, rupture of the chain structure is the main reason of shear thinning, and the magnetic response time is inversely proportional to volume fraction.
