Abstract:Residue after extracting alumina from fly ash by acid method, used as filler, was applied into reinforcing SBR by grind and modification etc. The influence was studied on the effect of the reinforcement for SBR by the residue addition, granularity and different modifiers and finally discussed the effect and mechanism of different modifiers. The results show that, if using equal amount of residue and silica, tensile strength of the former is 5.33 MPa and result in rupture elongation improvement about 30%more than silica, up to 851.26%. With the residue being grinder for 60 min (d50=0.35 μm), the tensile strength is 5.70 MPa and the rupture elongation can be up to 903%. After being modified, there is an obvious change in rubber's tensile strength and elongation at rupture. The tensile strength of modified KH550 can be up to 9.12 MPa, and the elongation at rupture of modified silicone oil is improved to 949.86%.
