Structural optimization of powder mixer for inflatable composite material slurry

Abstract:To achieve uniform mixing of inflatable composite material slurry, and ensure the strength of the filling body, a new structure of powder mixer was presented, which made full use of rest wind power in the process of discharging to achieve powder mixed. Based on Fluent software, mixing process of powders,internal flow field distribution and effect of powder mixing were analyzed, and structural parameters of the powder mixer were optimized. The results show that the hybrid method can meet the production needs, and the uniformity of powders increase with the increasing of inlet and outlet area ratio, and increase at first and then decrease with the increasing of cylinder and circular truncated cone height ratio. Fluent reveals the velocity field, pressure field and the particle trajectory in the process of powder mixing in a more micro, more fundamental point of view, providing a theoretical basis for the structural optimization of powder mixing equipment.
