Abstract:Research progress on the evaluation methods for flowability of pharmaceutical powders was reviewed. The principle and characteristics of four evaluation methods including angle of repose method, the outflow velocity method,compressibility method and shear test method were introduced and the evaluation system using Carr index was summarized. The research progress of shear test method was emphatically introduced. A reference might be provided in the selection of evaluation methods for flowability of pharmaceutical powders and in the study of measurement methodology of powder flowability.
