Parameters optimization and analysis of centrifugal atomization nozzle

Abstract:For the problem of the atomization effect of nozzle structural parameters, a numerical calculation model of centrifugal nozzle was established based on the fluid mechanics theory. The orthogonal test of the nozzle parameters were carried out by the Fluent. A more reasonable structure parameter was obtained and then the atomization field of the nozzle was studied. The results show that the swirling chamber radius is the most remarkable influence on the nozzle flow field with the nozzle of same exit radius. It has formed the smaller average diameter of droplets with the optimized nozzle. The diameter of particles are mainly distributed in between 25~35μm. The cloud droplet speed decreases rapidly with the axis direction, and then it keeps in around 10 m/s.
