Abstract: To investigate key factors influencing effective discharge time of superfine powder fire extinguishing equipment with fire detection tube, and to provide theoretical basis for the engineering design of such fire extinguishing equipment, influences of key engineering design parameters of superfine powder fire extinguishing equipment on effective discharge time were investigated, and numerical calculation models of effective discharge time were established through discharge tests and theoretical analysis. The results show that the effective discharge time of superfine powder fire extinguishing equipment grows exponentially with the filling ratio, decreases linearly with the filling pressure, increases linearly with the fire detection tube length, and are negatively related with particle sizes of the fire extinguishing agent.
