Screening Characteristics and Efficiency of New Swing Surface

Abstract: To improve the screening capacity and screening efficiency of vibrating screen, the motion equations of a new swing surface were established and motion characteristics of the swing were analyzed based on the vibration theory. The process of swing screening was simulated by discrete element method, and the screening efficiency of particles was studied at different values of frequency and swing declination angle. The functional relationship between the screening efficiency and parameters was fitted by the least square method. The results show that the great frequency and swing angle values are good for small particles through the screen, while small values of frequency and swing angle are good for the particles with near aperture size. Comparing with the linear screening, the screening efficiency is effectively improved by this swing surface.
