Abstract: To understand the research progress of catalysts fouling in flue gas turbines and direct the operating of industrial equipment, recent advances in research on fouling in flue gas turbines were summarized, and future research emphasises were pointed out. The results show that the fouling process of catalysts in flue gas turbines can be divided into three parts including gas and solid phases flow, collision and deposition, sintering and fouling. The numerical simulation method about flow field in flue gas turbine is fully developed. Based on classic collision theory, lots of empirical formulas on particle collision provide good ideas about the surface accumulation of catalyst, but it is urgently needed to deeply research on dynamic process. It is a necessary process to solve the problem of particle fouling that conduct an experimental research which can match the operation conditions well in short time. The relationship between fouling and flow characteristics has a direct bearing on optimized design of flue gas turbine structure, which is one of the key points of solving catalyst fouling.
