Abstract: The deposition behavior of flue gas dust particles in a heat exchanger used for waste heat recovery was investigated. The deposition laws of dust particles in a tubular flue gas heat exchanger were analyzed using numerical simulation. The results show that most dust particles are deposited on the windward side wall and the side wall. The deposition effectiveness of the particles with smaller size is small. The deposition effectiveness does not change significantly with increase of the particle size. The deposition effectiveness of the particles with larger size is large. The deposition effectiveness increases with increase of the particle size.
