Abstract: Taking industrial aluminum hydroxide as raw materials，organic acid washing was conducted after one stage roasting. Submicron alumina powders were prepared by two stages roasting after adding additives including crystal growth inhibitor, combustion improver, etc. and combining evenly. The powders were characterized by XRD, SEM and suspension stability analysis. The results show that the particle size distribution of the submicron alumina powders prepared by two stages roasting is uniform. The mean particle size is not larger than 0.9 μm. The purity is high, and the dispersion and stability are good.
