Abstract: The definitions of classifying efficiency and classifying precision generally used to express and evaluate performance of a turbo air classifier in application were analyzed. The structure of the classifier was combined to investigate the main factors influencing classifying efficiency and classifying precision of a turbo air classifier. The results show that all of the grading wheel speed, inlet velocity, feed rate, guide plate have effect on the classifying efficiency and classifying precision. Different parameters should be selected according to different materials.
