Flow State Detection of Alumina Powders in Pneumatic Conveying Process

Abstract: The flow state of alumina powders was detected by the pneumatic circulation conveying experiment device. The electromagnetic induction coil was located in different measuring points of the riser. The ferromagnetic powders as tracer materials of alumina particles were added. The electromagnetic induction sound signal acquisition device was used for electromagnetic induction coefficient value measurement. The results show that the electromagnetic induction coefficient value and alumina ferromagnetic particles flow exist linear relation. With the increase of the measuring point height, electromagnetic induction coefficient value decreases. When the riser clogs, the electromagnetic induction coefficient above congestion point section begins to decrease, that of below congestion point section begins to increase. By increasing air flow, the distribution state of particles can be effectively improved.
