Abstract： The origin and development of tumbler screening machines are introduced, and a comparison between tumbler screening machines and rotary vibration screens in structure design and working mode is given. The structure and working principle of tumbler screening machines are introduced in detail. A multi-faceted description on current state and development trends of tumbler screening technology in German especially in machine construction design, screen mesh cleaning technology and specific machine applications is suggested. The developing direction of tumbler screening machines and the situation of Chinese businesses producing tumbler screening machines are predicted.
