Abstract: The quality indexes such as particle size distribution, morphology characteristics and wettability characteristics of commercial cosmetics mica powders were analyzed, which were quantized to study the differences between domestic and overseas cosmetics mica powders. The results show that 1# and 2# mica powders have narrower particle size distribution, larger thickness-diameter ratio, better crystal shape and stronger modified effect. The modified effect of 3# and 4# mica powders is excellent. The modified effect of 5# and 6# mica powders is poor and the ladder morphology is obvious. Cosmetic mica powders should be improved from the aspects of morphology, crystal plane and wettability.
