Abstract：To prepare zirconium silicate as national standard samples to standardize the production,test and circulation of zirconium silicate,advanced technology of ball mill and stirred mill were adopted.Three important factors affecting applications of zirconium silicate were focused on which were content of Zr(Hf)O₂,characteristic diameters of d₅₀ and d₉₈.A series of standard samples were prepared such as zirconium silicate A6 used in construction ceramics and zirconium silicate A8 used in daily ceramics.The results show that all samples have gone through the test of homogeneity,stability,certification and have been recognized by the National Institute of Standard Samples Committee.
