Abstract:Modified feldspar powders were prepared with silane coupling agent KH570 as modifying agent by microwave assisted method. The modification effect and structure of modified feldspar powders were characterized and analyzed.The results show that the interface contact angles of modified feldspar powders obviously increase. The surface of modified feldspar powders is hydrophobic compared with that of original feldspar powders. Silane coupling agent KH570 results in chemical adsorption and chemical bond cooperation on the surface of feldspar powders. The microwave assisted method obviously improves the hydrophobicity of feldspar powders.
