Abstract:Green phosphors Y2GeO5∶Bi3+, Tb3+were synthesized by high temperature solid state method and characterized by XRD, SEM, laser particle size analyzer and photoluminescence spectrum. The influence of Bi3+and Tb3+doping concentration on luminescence properties were discussed. The results indicate that Bi3+and Tb3+respectively act as sensitizer and luminescence center into the crystal lattice of Y2GeO5, whose optimum doping concentrations are 1.2% and 8%. d50of nearly spherical phosphor Y2GeO5∶Bi3+, Tb3+is about 6.39 μm. A broadband excitation at 314 nm is attributed to a composite of broadband by excitations of Bi3+ion and host with7F6→5D1of Tb3+. Under the excitation of 314 nm, a broadband at 373 nm and sharp lines between 430 and 650nm are presented. The intensity of5D4→7F5is enhanced about 3 times by co-doping Bi3+ion.
