Abstract:To realize the comprehensive utilization of other gangue minerals in Lianzhou wollastonite mine area and reduce the production costs, the effects of professional staff, ore geological characteristics, mineral chemical compositions, experiment platform conditions, and sampling norms on the quality of wollastonite powders for ceramics were investigated. The controlling methods of 6 key indicatrixes including burning loss, shrinkage ratio, burning whiteness, CaO content, uniformity and color were developed to stabilize the quality of the wollastonite powders. The results show that the stability of the wollastonite powders may be improved effectively by the combination of ore classification stacking, timely sampling and bulk delivery measures.
