Rigid Filler Particle Toughened HDPE and Its Toughenment Mechanism

Abstract

Onthe basis of the former research works, this paper researched emphaticallyon the induced crystallization of boundary stress of HDPE based composites and the relationships of the induced crystallization and the properties of materials,and gave a detailed discussion on the relations of boundary binding, CaCOg particle size, particle size distribution, content and cooling rate of sample, etc and the induced crystallization of the base and the toughness of the composite. The relevant toughenment mechanism, toughenment model and the experimental results of crystalline kinetics were introduced.
