Abstract
Based on the measurement of flow field of the rotary uniflow & inner- recycdle cyclone separator,the effect of inlet gas velocities on its flow field three- dimensional velocities and pressure distributions was experimentally investigated.A dimensionless empirical formula was obtained by dataanalysisfor calculating the flow field tangential velocity in separationsection, and the effect of the new cyclone enlargement on its performance of pressure drops was discussed. The result shows that the new cyclone separator has a regualr flow field with an insignificant enlargement cfteet. Its frictional resistance coefficient is lower than thatofconventional return-flowcyi clones by about 30%.
