Abstract

The available correlations for the drag coefficient of a spherodial particle moving in a fluid are reviewed and some simple and accurate formulas are proposed.

New methodsand equations are suggested for the calculation ofsettling velocity of a sphero-dial particle. The equations for calculating settling velocity are simple to use and enable solutions to be'obtained for practical problems without using iterative procecdires.
