Abstract
The necessity of research on the centrifugal atomization field in the desulphurization reaction towerand environment conditions inside the tower are analyzed in this paper.
According to the principle of Fraunhoferdiffraction, taking palce when particles go through a parallel light field, we have designed and manufactured a particle size analyzer used to measure particles in this atomization field.
The instrument's characters are given in this paper. For example, self- scanned photodiode array is used as a photoelectonicsensor ;sampled field range can be controlled;it has strong antipollutionand anti- interference ability;a two level computersystem is used to manage and control the instrument.
The paper also discusses some technique problems about the instrument working in the tower. They are:to decide measured positions; to determine sample time and sample number;to choose working conditions of a centrifugal atomizer;to exprescharacteristics of the field in the tower.Finally, the instruments testing circumstances in the tower are described and measurement results are analyzed.
