Abstract：In this paper，the granular media in storage is supposed to be elastic—perfectly plastic behaviour material submitting to Mohr—Coulomb yield criterion，and friction effect between granular media and silo wall is supposed to be Coulomb friction contact problem．The factors influencing the yield state of static graunlar media in rigid silo are studieda method is proposed which is using granular media critical internal friction angle to identify whether the static granular media is in yield state，and the problems are simulated numerically with finite element method．
