种子溶胀法合成微米级单分散聚苯乙烯微球

摘要:采用种子溶胀法合成 1~10 μm 单分散聚苯乙烯微球,研究单体与种子微球的不同质量比、聚合温度、分散介质中乙醇浓度以及搅拌速 度对聚苯乙烯微球粒径和粒径分布的影响。 结果表明,随着单体与种子质量比的增大和聚合温度的升高,微球粒径越大,粒径分布变宽;合成聚苯乙烯微球的适宜条件是单体与种子的质量比范围为 0.5~3.5, 聚合 温度为 70~75 ℃,搅拌速率为 150~350 r/min,乙醇在分散介质中的质量 分数为 10%~15%;合成的粒径分别为 6、7、8 μm 的聚苯乙烯微球的球形度大于 96%,粒径相对标准偏差小于 5%。

Abstract: The monodisprese polystyrene microspheres of 1-10 micron were prepared by seeded swelling method. The effects of mass rate of monomer and seed, polymerization temperature, ethanol concentration in disperse medium and stirring speed on the polystyrene micropheres size and size distribution were studied. The results show that the particle size of microspheres increases and the particle size distribution becomes wider with the increasing of the mass rate of monomer, seed and polymerization temperature. The suitable conditions of preparing polystyrene microspheres are that the mass rate range of monomer and seed is 0.5-3.5, the polymerization temperature is between 70-75 ℃ ,the stirring speed is between 150-350 r/min,and ethanol concentration in disperse medium is 10% -15% . The sphericity and the relative standard deviation of the particle size of 6, 7, 8 μm monodisperses polystyrene particles prepared by seeded swelling method are respectively more than 96% and less than 5%.
